v7.3rc [testing] is released!

RouterOS version 7.3rc1 has been released “v7 testing” channel!

Before an upgrade:

  1. Remember to make backup/export files before an upgrade and save them on another storage device;

To upgrade, click “Check for updates” at /system package in your RouterOS configuration interface, or head to our download page: http://www.mikrotik.com/download

If you experience version related issues, then please send supout file from your router to support@mikrotik.com. File must be generated while router is not working as suspected or after some problem has appeared on device

Please keep this forum topic strictly related to this particular RouterOS release.

filesystem - improved UBIFS stability and data integrity after downgrade to RouterOS v6 and upgrade to RouterOS v7

I assume that was all the fuss about for 7.21. This is much clearer and informative. :slight_smile:

Think about adding this to the before upgrade recommendations, by default if it is incremented: *) winbox - minimal required version is vx.xx;

Where can read about lacp-user-key?

*) torch - properly capture all related IPv6 traffic;
Thank you!

Excellent! Any docs regarding this?

Where can read about lacp-user-key?

The setting is documented on https://help.mikrotik.com/docs/display/ROS/Bonding#Bonding-PropertyDescription
LACP key can be monitored with:

/interface bonding monitor-slaves

*) switch - added option to match source and destination IP addresses in ARP packets for RB5009 (requires mac-protocol=arp setting);

Good news !
So the rule : …
/interface ethernet switch rule add dst-address=192.168.192.200/32 new-vlan-id=100 ports=ether2 switch=switch1
also needs the following one on RB5009 : …
/interface ethernet switch rule add dst-address=192.168.192.200/32 new-vlan-id=100 ports=ether2 switch=switch1 mac-protocol=arp
… to have something similar to CRS317, which properly handles related ARP traffic with the first rule only.
Right ?

Is mac-protocol=arp setting requirement (so the need for the second rule) a limitation from the RB5009 switch chip (88E6393X) ?

Many thanks !

Now I have the same key on all the bonding interfaces. As far as I understand, this is normal. Could you give an example when need to manually change the key?

*) lte - added MCS, CQI and RI value reporting for Fibocom FG621;

what details would you require for supporting the L860 and L850?
just a supout?

  • “Old style” routing filters add (like v6), not only syntax
    [/quote]
    You post that in every release topic, but it is completely unclear what you mean.

    I agree to your other requests.

*) gps - added GPS package support for Chateau devices;
*) lte - added SMS sending support for MBIM protocol;
*) lte - improved stability when configuring multiple APN’s at the same time in MBIM mode;
*) lte - improved stability when upgrading LTE firmware on Chateau 5G;

Love to see this love working to fully support the Quectel chips advertised as fully supported in your Chateau 5G devices!

Is mac-protocol=arp setting requirement (so the need for the second rule) a limitation from the RB5009 switch chip (88E6393X) ?

Correct, the second rule is needed due to switch limitation. For CRS3xx, there is a slightly more advanced ACL matcher that can correctly find ARP and IPv4 packets using a single rule.

Now I have the same key on all the bonding interfaces. As far as I understand, this is normal. Could you give an example when need to manually change the key?

It is perfectly fine to use the same key for multiple LACPs. We received a feature request asking for this option, I guess it was up to their network policy to use unique keys for each LACP. It was fairly easy to implement it in RouterOS, so here you go. :wink:

*) sfp - added 2.5Gbps rate for SFP+ and QSFP+ interfaces on 98DXxxxx and 98PX1012 switches (requires disabled auto-negotiation);

Do you mean HGSMII ? :o

When will container support be added?

Is the changelog something carried over or new things compared to 7.2?

Ask Jotne, see this result from of a spreadsheet.

I have not looked at 7.3beta, but my guess is that change log is the difference from 7.2 or 7.2.1

I mean the possibility from winbox to add and manage routing filters through list options as currently present in version V6, currently on V7 there is only the possibility to compile and insert filters by hand using syntax

Beta 33? Out of the world version numbering.

Posting it in every topic won’t make it happen faster. As it was already mentioned in one of the topics we will try to think of some user friendly GUI method to add routing filters but doing that and implement it is not going to happen right away.
