wAP ac LTE6 kit External Antenna

Hi

Before I by a wAP ac LTE6 kit I’m wanting to know if the U.FL to SMA pigtails (ACSMAUFL) I have for my wAP ac LTE kit will fit as the holes in the case don’t look the same? As I’d like to reuse the external antenna mANT LTE 5o I just bought last week

Thanks

the U.FL to SMA pigtails (ACSMAUFL)

2x u.fl → SMA female

mANT LTE 5o

2x SMA female

Conclusion, you have two SMA female and you need the …

2x https://mikrotik.com/product/smasma “1m SMA male to SMA male cable”

Just read documentation. mANT LTE 5o in pdf not have information about male/female but all antennas use female as default.

Yes I know I need this cable, I have it! My question was do the u.fl to SMA F pigtails fit in the case, those holes don’t look right to me…

I’ve been doing a bit of experimentation today by attaching my external MT LTE antenna to an SXT LTE6 Kit (it’s not easy) to see what the performance is like and it’s terrible (2-3mbps download), if I put the R11e-LTE card into the SXT from my old wAP R then I get around 20mbps with the same antenna. I was curious to do this as I wasn’t sure if it was the directional nature of the SXT or the LTE6.

Probably with the most directional antenna the device can’t do the carrier aggregation and the performance is lower. Why? Because most probably both towers are much separated. With a smaller antenna you have much more angle to receive signals from different towers and get the carrier aggregation (CA).

Means, mANT LTE 5o 360° antenna + R11e-LTE6 = 2-3Mbps

You reach B3@30Mhz but all your effort are eating via bad sinr and then you receive slow cqi.
Additional, I think the DL+DL not work at this lte6 but you still should have that 20Mb and in new fw even more.
Try do Freq lock per one or second earfcn by
/interface lte at-chat lte1 input=“atcell=1,3,1617"
or
/interface lte at-chat lte1 input="at
cell=1,3,1761”
or disable this FreqLock by
/interface lte at-chat lte1 input=“at*cell=0”

and next time provide the info from both situations, and give more clear question.

I’ve fitted the pigtails into the WAP ac LTE 6 Kit, it clearly wan’t designed with this in mind though.

Is this interesting, but LtAP probably is better to use with external antennas.

Thank Krafg, that makes sense but it’s what I had. does make an improvement to signal quality
Installed on my inland waterway boat

Without 5dbi antenna

With Antenna

any one guide mein how to create a post in this forum and i want to know i have RB4011IGS model Mikrotik i want to use LTE interface i mean i want to use sms service for mikrotik is there any way because in this model there is no usb port kindly guide

RB4011IGS lte interface [SOLVED]

I sent you a PM saying that you need specific hardware to receive SMS on Mikrotik devices. Just buy a RouterBOARD that supports mobile connections.

Is interesting to see how RSRP is better with the external antenna. Thanks for posting.

I forget to say that is not extremely necessary a big LtAP, LtAP mini also comes with marks to do the holes and put the pigtails. It’s cheaper, but I never tested before.

I agree it is interesting, it works better too even if you ignore better numbers. I will open that mANT antenna sometime as I wonder if if has the same elements as the WAP ac LTE6, I did notice that this has a new LTE antenna design over the original WAP LTE

mANT + LHG XL = DIY antenna - heve got that photo

WOW. It looks great! Probably the best cellular antenna at the moment for Mikrotik devices. My dream is exactly that Mikrotik sells this! But is great that also we can meke this antenna. Thanks for sharing.

I think you should check this one new product… http://forum.mikrotik.com/t/future-of-lte-products-user-feedback-requested/117022/138
And as bonus the info about chateau (edited recently) with inside photo of his PCB (at end of this my answer) : http://forum.mikrotik.com/t/future-of-lte-products-user-feedback-requested/117022/138

I saw before the new LDF, and yes, you can get a lot of signal strength but his hardware is limited (Single core CPU, no GPS, FE, etc). For now can be OK, but in some years more I not know.
About Chateau, thanks for sharing these photos, are great!
