I donāt need it at all. I just propose it because apparently others find the way winbox works confusing and/or do not want to spend the effort to close windows. I always have winbox open with one fullsized window showing the log, and smaller windows on top of that as needed. E.g. in a device with wireless I often have a window with wireless registrations open.
It works fine for me as it as (apart from some complaints about refreshing window content).
I believe this might be something that can only be handled on the Winbox side.
Perhaps a button with the function "Allow moving rules with just drag and drop for the next 60 seconds."
You donāt necessarily need to hire new people. Thereās a reason itās called "mastering your craft". Everyone can improve and learn in their profession. In my experience, many traditional designers arenāt very interested in UX or accessibility. But with enough feedback and when they have to use their own work, they usually start to understand over time - itās basically learning by doing.
You can always hire a UX expert for a review. The costs are fixed, and the report can then be integrated into the project (webfig, winbox).
Yes. this certainly needs improvement! Not only are the new graphs tiny and cannot be enlarged, they also do not refresh. That works much better in Winbox 3.
I do not see drastic differences, but there seems to be other "interpretation" of values. See different colors. The graphs are side by side and over a couple of minutes open - so they should be in sync.
Well, this could be right with things like may be proportions, elements layout or something like that. But when they are making really invisible color (like the case above) or same color for background and title... I don't know what are they thinking about, it's not ok.
Then all you need is a colleague with an older monitor and slightly weaker eyesight and/or some color blindness - and suddenly, with the next update, weāll get everything that wasnāt possible before.
Making same or barely distinguishable colors doesn't depend on monitor. The colors should be easily visible, they shouldn't be "on the edge". My eyesight is not bad, but I don't see this highlighting color on the modern monitor. You need to look really close to distinguish something. Moreover, on the old TN LCD it's even better visible, especially when looking under some angle from above.
Even I was paying much more attention to every color, while making a theme mod for the forum, though I'm not a professional in design, and was doing that on the voluntary basis, when I had a time.
Iāve seen enough monitors with RGB reproduction poor enough that change the entire desktop palette. I hoave, for example, one old monitor that is unusable with my normal color scheme: everything gets washed out and murky.
And no, this isnāt a matter of setting contrast right on the monitor: itās bad hardware. There is no fixing it.
If they are using āsuper duper marvelous 99,99% RGB reproduction rate monitor, carefully calibrated to the heavensā itās fairly reasonable to think that the colors look good to them.
I agree: they should have some bad monitors, to check out real world usage. They should run it by someone on their sixties, with bad vision. They absolutely should.
Just donāt understimate the impact a monitor have on the colors/contrast.
Yes, it could affect a whole appearance. But I was talking about "on the edge" situation, which we have with highlighting color here. Dark blue will never look good on a dark gray background. With any monitor. There should be much more difference between these colors.
And I'll repeat: on the old monitor it looks better from above, than on the modern one, which btw has 99.5% RGB coverage and even calibrated. So, old monitors won't help them (though, definitely would be useful as an additional hardware for tests).
Should be awesome if we can add. or create multiple fields.. or the oportunityfor each user to create custom fields, category, location, firemware version, or custom.. depends by the user.https://i.imgur.com/xVDXcy5.png
Ctrl+D is a key combination to end terminal session and at the same time shortcut to disable selected item. Anyone should be able to see that this cannot essentially be right. Maybe we will be able to avoid this shortcut in WinBox 4ā¦
