I was thinking about this today (i.e. had to fix a font problem with wine after an update).
So ~6 months ago we saw an icon. Since y’all like multi-year teasers, perhaps the clue be the language/framework behind the icon? That’s my mystery here - I’m happy enough with winbox+wine (sans occasional font troubles).
Can you at least say it’s NOT some Electron+React-kinda thing around webfig?
It is probably the iOS app ported to MacOS 
It will take as long to be released as RouterOS v7 did (from its first rumours at MUM and on the forum)…
I think that someone mentioned this before, but just as a +1:
it would be nice to have a column in “Wifi - Registration” to show “Active Host Name” from “DHCP Server - Leases” on CAPsMAN, if both CAPsMAN and DHCP server are on the same device.
I remember this worked in standalone configs, but now all my instalations are with CAPsMAN - almost everywhere there is a need for additional APs, so it is more time consuming to look up MAC addresses from one table in other one-by-one.
