Mikrotik Chateau LTE12 External Antenna problems

Hello,

I work for an Operator Company and we use Mikrotik Chateau LTE12 for 4G network. I meant to put external antennas on this Mikrotik to increase the throughput, but unfortunatly, i found a problem. My external antenna are not detected by the mikrotik even through they are great linked. The external antenna is a mANT LTE 5o.

Antenna to chateau
ANT1 to ANT1
ANT2 to ANT4

In Interface > LTE > Antenna Scan → none
Furthermore, while looking through a solutions on forums and manuels, an option is not on my RouterOS which is on others in the forums. In Interface > LTE > Modem > External Antenna () ||

It mean i can’t select any external Antenna. I’ve tried with an other fresh new Mikrotik and mANT LTE 5o.

Can you help find a solution ?

In the attachment, i upload a picture of my RouterOS screenshot and a picture of my Router Chateau.

Thanks !

Noone also have this problem ?

Hello,

What RouterOS version is the router on?

Are you able to switch to the external antennas with the CLI command?
/interface/lte/settings/set external-antenna=both

Hello, thanks for reply
The router is on v7.1beta5 (arm), it’s the factory firmware.
Yes, it work with the CLI commands. And with a print :
/interface/lte/settings/print
mode: auto
firmware-path: firmware
external-antenna: both
But when i scan Antenna it still doesnt find the Antenna and the button in the graphic is still not shown.
Thanks for helping

The factory firmware of Chateau LTE12 [RBD53G-5HacD2HnD-TC&EG12-EA] is one dedicated version 7.0 not available to download directly.
Someone put a beta on the device.

Hello,

Please enable lte debug logging and send the supout.rif file from your device to support@mikrotik.com generated after running the antenna scan.

LTE debug logging can be enabled from CLI by issuing this command:
/system logging add topics=lte

This article explains how to make a supout.rif file:

temp solution
try from quick setup

RouterOS version?
You use the 7.0.3?

No i am using 7.1beta6.
Even with stable version same results (no ext ant)
From quick set its ok.

i have 3 chateau 12… only two of them have that problhm
by the way
see the photos
same model different name on winbox
on 2 with problem same name (D53G)
other one without problem (RBD53G)

check

What you mean for “stable version”?
You use exactly the 7.0.3 “non-beta” and the only firmware supported for that device?

all devices comes with beta 7

OK i give a try tommorow

Very thanks!

The only dif before / after
/interface lte settings
set external-antenna=auto
in after file

Ok,
so it means that instead of using quickset, with the risk of accidentally changing configuration,

just simply paste this on the terminal:

/interface lte settings
set external-antenna=auto
